Journey through National Gallery Singapore just the way you like
Ever walked into a museum eager to take it all in, but quickly felt at a loss as to where to begin, how to go about your visit, and just… where is everything? Well, you’re not alone.
National Gallery Singapore (NGS) has come up with the antidote for every museum visitor walking around with an invisible speech bubble of question marks: Art Journey.

What is Art Journey?
Art Journey is a web-based initiative that helps visitors choose from a range of ready-made itineraries or design their own journey through the Gallery, giving them the ability to tailor and curate a museum experience to their heart’s desire.
For those who want to personalise their museum experience with a unique selection of exhibitions, they can line up exhibitions, programmes, artworks, and activities just how they like. For those who would like a nudge or two, there are nine prepared to cater to different groups and interests, with more expected to be added over time.
How can I get started with Art Journey?
While there will be 19 new self-service digital kiosks located around the Gallery fitted with the Art Journey function for visitors, the value-add of this new function comes in that visitors can plan their visit through the Art Journey website before setting off to the Gallery.

Even after designing your Art Journey, there is still room for change after arriving at the Gallery. The Arrival Landmark pillars at the Gallery’s Coleman Street entrance will showcase key programmes that visitors could consider including in their itineraries.
The interactive Activity Cube, located at the same entrance, will also give visitors hands-on access to Art Journey, by discovering activities with just a single swipe. Each activity will be accompanied by a QR code, which when scanned, can be added to a visitor’s Art Journey.
Visitors can be assured by the fact that the passes and tickets required for their specific routes would be automatically assigned and purchased through the whole web purchase process.
Ready-made Art Journey itineraries
There is something for the uninitiated, such as the “Ultimate First-timer Guide”, and also something for the entire household, like “A Family Affair”. There is even something for those looking to impress a significant other: “It’s a Date!”

Those in a bit of a rush would appreciate that some take as little as just 60 minutes (“Gallery in an hour!”), while those preferring a leisurely stroll through the majestic building can complete their journeys in about 2.5 hours. All journeys can be further refined, whether by adding or removing certain segments according to each user’s preferences.

Art Journey will serve as an itinerary that guides at every step – before, during, and even after a visit, while giving each person the ability to go about the Gallery at a pace and in the manner they want.
Your gallery, your way. Now, everyone should be able to belt it out the way Frank Sinatra did, and say… And I did it my way.
