Get ready your favourite kacang and watch this short film For Your 55th, part of a series of commissioned short films by the National Heritage Board, as it takes a poignant look at the struggles of a couple from different communities. Three specially commissioned short films will explore themes of racial harmony, sacrifice and integration this National Day.

The remaining films, Once Upon a Time in Katong which challenges notions of culture and belonging will be released in the week of 10 Aug; What I’ve Always Wanted to Say peels back layers of time to reveal the untold sacrifices of a father, and his heart for his son will be released in the week of 17 Aug.

The films are available for viewing on the National Heritage Board’s Facebook and Instagram.
