Take a peek into the global legacy of The Little Prince 76 years after its publication, delving into the novel's rich history and the life of its enigmatic author, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. This film is a cinematic meditation on the essence of humanity, exploring a range of critical perspectives and ideas that illuminate who we have become, what we have learned, and how we exist in the world today.
For this screening, there will be special a post-show reading and sharing by Singapore poet and literary critic Gwee Li Sui. Featuring his translated work—a Singlish translation of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s The Little Prince! The Leeter Tunku—published in Germany earlier this year. Come hear Gwee read from, and share about, this world’s beloved novella in Singapore’s own beloved language!
This film is co-presented with The Projector.
