After the highly acclaimed sold-out shows in 2019, Japanese-Brazilian Bossa Nova queen, Lisa Ono 小野リサ is bringing her warm smile and beautiful music back to Singapore again in 2020!
Collecting musical inspiration from Brazil in a Japanese family, Lisa Ono is the talented singer who brought Bossa Nova to Asia. Her 1999 album “Dream” had been sold more than two hundred thousand copies in Japan. Since then she has been known as a central figure in the Japanese Bossa Nova community.
Lisa Ono spent her childhood in Brazil, she started singing and playing the guitar when she was 15 years old, and debuted as a professional Bossa Nova singer in 1989. Her unique joyful natural vocals, rhythmic guitar playing, and her charming smile led her to huge success which also promoted Bossa Nova in Japan.
Lisa has performed with many great artists, including the legendary Antonio Carlos Jobim, the Jazz Samba giant Joao Donato, and has been performing enthusiastically in New York, Brazil and across Asia.
In 2020, Lisa will bring more everyone loved classic pieces ‘La Vie En Rose’, ‘Take Me Home Country Roads’, ‘Jambalaya’, ‘Catupiry’ and ‘Quizas Quizas Quizas’. Selected Classic pieces from Spain, France, Brazil and Japan...with her unique, multicultural life experience and touching voice.
