“Ho is a subtle strategist … who communicates his feeling for the music very naturally … Ho’s technique is fluent and powerful …”
Fanfare Magazine

Rêverie: Nicholas Ho in Recital Homegrown pianist and composer Nicholas Ho returns to the Esplanade Recital Studio in a recital with an eclectic repertoire of works by Chopin, Schumann, Ho, and Jacob TV. Chopin’s Nocturne in C minor and Schumann’s Fantasie are dramatic works from the Romantic era grandiose and passionate outpouring of emotion. Fascinated by American pop culture, Jacob TV fuses a cheesy advertisement for a weight-loss product with classical piano writing in The Body of Your Dreams: the pianist becomes a victim of consumer terror, becoming a “barpianist, sports-star, and keyboard-machine.” The first six of Mr. Ho’s Star Trek-inspired Twelve Études will also receive their world premiere.
