Journey with us on a music trail around the Bedok neighbourhood! Starting from Bedok Town Square, audiences or “music trail riders” will get a chance to hop on an open-top bus and take a trip down memory lane to learn more about the history of Bedok and get a glimpse of some of Bedok’s heritage sites. Experience a nostalgic throw back to the good old kampung days and enjoy a unique music pop-up performance comprising familiar tunes at the newly refurbished Bedok Food Centre.
Did you know that the town of Bedok originally got its name from the Malay word ‘Bedoh’ (which means drum)? In celebration of Bedok and its drumming origins, music trail riders will also get a chance to pick up some simple drumming patterns on the trail. Look out for the highlight back at Bedok Town Square where everyone is welcome to join in the fun and perform alongside the music trail riders and professional musicians in a rousing grand finale!
