Join Tina Baum (Curator of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art at the National Gallery of Australia) as she shares more about embedding cultural knowledge into and decolonising museum databases. While working in the registration department of National Gallery Australia, Baum wanted to replace outmoded, colonial information with Indigenous knowledge within the database. With this, she hoped to establish more meaningful engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities, collections and exhibitions, including “Ever Present: First Peoples Art of Australia”.
