Add a little groove to your stay-home fitness routine by taking a dance class or two with local dance studio STEP studio. It is offering free online video classes in various genres of dance, including street jazz, hip-hop and contemporary dance. Its video-on-demand classes are available from the STEP Studio YouTube channel here.

Try your hand at composing music
Learn to compose music with this free online course taught by the National University of Singapore’s Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music Associate Professor Peter Edwards. The six-week-long introductory course, which requires about five hours of commitment a week, covers topics such as chords, harmonic progressions and melodic writing. Pick up Chinese ink painting
For something zen to calm your frazzled mind, pick up Chinese ink painting with Artist Singapore, a homegrown YouTube channel offering free, online art tutorials. Lessons range from paintings of plum blossoms that can be completed in 10 minutes to more detailed landscapes. If you want to learn alongside your child, the channel has an affiliated platform with drawing and painting tutorials for younger ones. Pick up your ink brush and start painting with Artist TV and Artist Junior TV.

Create your own comic book
Did you know the oldest comics date back to the Stone Age? Discover the allure of this age-old storytelling medium and learn the craft with this free online course offered by the California College of the Arts. The course covers practical topics such as text to image relationships, panel to panel transitions and page layouts. Start writing your own comic with help from Comics: Art in Relationship here.
